This Logic Puzzle is called Hospital Visitor.
A man goes to visit his wife for the evening, taking with him a bunch of Grapes, a bouquet of flowers and a get well card.
His Wife is in a ward on the 5th floor.
When the bell sounds the end of visiting time, he kisses her goodbye and heads for the lift.
He has to queue for 9 minutes before he is able to enter the lift with 6 other people.
The man weighs 11 stones (154lbs) and 4 of the other passengers in the lift look as though they weigh similar amounts.
The 5th person is a child and only weighs approximately 6 stones (84lbs).
The 6th person is a rather large lady weighing in at 15 stones (210lbs).
The weight limit sign has been covered in graffitti and is unreadable.
The lift descends to the 4th floor where one of the passengers leaves the lift.
Between the 3rd and 2nd floors the lift suddenly stops.
Our Hospital Visitor starts crying and when asked why replies that he knows his wife is dead!
