Dorsetdik's Farm Holiday Park

Dorsetdik's Farm Description

Dorsetdik's farm is a small holding perched on a wind swept cliff top on the beautiful Dorset coast.
It's just to the East of Weymouth and has been in the Blindo family for over 200 years.

The farm is a mixed sheep and arable farm with a handful of other lifestock to meet the families needs. There are a couple of pens of pigs and a small domestic herd of Guernsey cows.
The Farmhouse and buildings have been recently modernised but the Farm doesn't make a huge profit, just meeting the needs of the family and providing a little welcome cash from sales at the local market.

Dik, or Dorsetdik, as he's known is the family head and his wife, Amanda makes sure he knows it! On the farm they produce their own eggs, cheese and butter and the surplus sells well on market days.

Now, in a new venture with Blindo, brother to Dorsetdik, the farm is diversifying into the holiday trade.
One of the massive clifftop fields from the neighbouring farm has been purchased as a joint venture and is destined to become Dorsetdik's farm Holiday Park.

Building work has begun on the Club House/shop/office building and the power cables, water and sewerage pipes are in place to connect up the holiday homes that will be arriving on site over the next few weeks.
A children's play area and a small swimming pool are all planned for the future.

Guests are self catering and will be able to help with the work of the farm.
